Asparagu soup

Asparagus
Water
Salt
1 quart Milk; or part cream
2 ounces Butter
Pepper

Directions

Take asparagus, break into ½ inch pieces, boil until tender in salted water, add 1 qt good rich milk or part cream, add 2 ounces butter, season with pepper and it is ready to serve. This is delicious.
