½ | cup | Butter |
1 | Egg, well beaten | |
1¼ | cup | Flour |
1 | teaspoon | Baking powder |
pinch | Salt | |
1 | Lemon rind, grated | |
Walnut halves |
Directions
Mix sugar and butter together until creamy. Beat in egg. Add flour, baking powder, salt and lemon rind. Mold into balls half the size of a walnut. Lay on greased tine and press down with a fork dipped in flour. Place half walnut on each and bake in a moderate oven until browned.
