A pinch of salt | ||
4 | ounces | Granulated sugar |
4 | ounces | Currants |
4 | ounces | Sultanas |
4 | ounces | Large raisins; stoned |
4 | ounces | Lard |
A little chopped candied peel | ||
½ | ounce | Baker's yeast |
1 | Egg |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 160 Centigrade (moderate oven). Mix all the dry ingredients and then mix in the egg. Put the mix into a greased baking tin and bake for about an hour, until golden brown on top.
