2½ | cup | Flour, all-purpose |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
1½ | tablespoon | Baking powder |
3 | tablespoons | Sugar |
¾ | cup | Shortening |
⅔ | cup | Milk |
Directions
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk, stirring until well blended.
Turn dough out onto floured surface, and knead lighlty about 3 to 4 times.
Roll dough to ½" thickness, and cut into rounds with a 2-½" cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet; bake at 450 degrees for 15 mintues or until golden.
