Cheese pudding

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Milk
cup Stale bread, cubed
cup Cheese, coarse grated
tablespoon Butter
¾ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Pepper
pinch Nutmeg
3 eaches Eggs,separated

Directions

Combine milk, bread, cheese, butter and seasonings; cook over low heat until cheese is melted. Remove from heat. Blend in egg yolks which have been beaten until lemon colored. Then fold in egg whites which have been beaten until stiff but not dry. Pour into 2 quart buttered baking dish and bake in 350 F. oven 30 to 35 minutes.
