Cherry sorbet

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Water
cup Sugar
pounds Cherries, pitted
¼ cup Lemon juice
1 tablespoon Cherry brandy, optional2
2 tablespoons Maraschino cherries, diced, optional

Directions

Combine the water, sugar & pitted cherries in a non-corrosive pot & bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat & let cool. Puree the mixture in a food processor or blender & strain through a fine sieve to remove the skins. Combine this mixture with the rest of the ingredients. Freeze following the instructions for making Lemon Sorbet.
