¾ | cup | Butter flavor shortening |
¾ | cup | Buttermilk or sour milk |
¾ | cup | Water |
1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
2 | Eggs |
Directions
Chocolate Web Cupcake
Peanut Butter Frosting (recipe follows) Chocolate Glaze (recipe follows) Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line muffin pans with paper baking cups. In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients except frosting and glaze; beat on low speed of electric mixer 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on high speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Spoon batter into baking cups, filling ½ full.
Bake 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove from pans to wire rack; cool completely. Frost with Peanut Butter Frosting. Garnish with Chocolate Glaze, forming a spider web design, if desired. Makes about 3 dozen cupcakes.
