Directions
Angie could this be it? I found it in a cookbook called A Taste of Georgia by the Junior Service League. If so enjoy, if not enjoy anyway. by : Mr.Jack T.Camp, Jr.
Cook the last three ingredients in a saucepan until thick. While cooking the last three, mix the first seven ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix dry ingredients very well, but be sure to keep an eye on the date mixture so it will not stick. Press half of crumbly mixture into a 9x9 pan, patting down firmly. Pour thick date mixture over this, then add remaining rolled oats mixture on top, patting down somewhat, but do not mash down. Bake about 20 minutes in a preheated 375 Degree oven, or until brown. Wait until thoroughly cool to cut into bars.
