Easy marble pound cake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 cups Flour
¾ cup Milk
2 cups Sugar
6 larges Eggs
1 tablespoon Baking powder
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Salt
½ cup Chocolate syrupt
cup Shortening

Directions

Combine all ingredients except syrup. Beat at low speed until blended. Beat at high speed 10 minutes. Combine one cup of batter with chocolate syrup.

Set aside. Pour half of remaining batter in large tube pan that has been greased and floured. Spoon half of chocolate batter on top. Repeat layers and swirl batter with knife. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until done. If top begins to brown too much, cover loosely with foil.
