Hearty chlcken broccoll soup

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
¼ cup Butter or margarine
½ cup Onion -- chopped
½ cup Celery -- chopped
3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Dry mustard
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
3 cups Milk
2 teaspoons Lemon juice
cup Chicken -- diced cooked
2 packs Cut broccoli in cheese
Sauce
10 ounces Ea. thawed/chopped
Seasoned croutons, optional

Directions

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Saute onion and celery until crisp-tender. Stir in flour, mustard, salt and pepper.

Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Gradually add milk; cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens. Stir in the lemon juice, chicken and broccoli. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until heated through. Top with croutons, if desired. Yield: 6-8 servings Recipe By : Country Woman
