In a medium bowl, beat butter, 1 cup sugar, vanilla with an electric mixer on medium until light and fluffy, 1 to 2 mins. Add eggs, beating well after each addition. Beat 2 mins. Beat in flour, baking powder, and baking soda. When partially mixed, beat in sour cream until mixture is smooth. 3. Remove half of batter to another bowl. To batter remaining in bowl, add orange zest and mix until blended. To batter removed to other bowl, beat in melted chocolate until well combined.

4. Spoon half of orange batter into prepared loaf pan. Drop half of chocolate batter by spoonfuls over top. Repeat layers. Using a knife, lightly swirl batter to marbleize. 5. Bake 55 to 65 mins, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Let cake cool 5 mins in pan. 6. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat orange juice and remaining 3 Tbs sugar to boiling over medium heat. Boil 1 min, or until sugar dissolves. Spoon hot syrup over cake. Let cake cool completely in pan before unmolding and slicing.
