Mayonnaise welfare cake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Flour
1½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 cup Cold water
4 tablespoons Cocoa
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Mayonnaise
1½ teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Directions

Mix the mayonnaise, sugar and vanilla together. Blend in the dry ingredients and turn into a greased 8x8 pan. Bake at 350F for one hour. This is one that I used when the kids were small and we were on a fixed income. It is passable. Origin: Sharon Stevens Shared by: Sharon Stevens
