My cincinnati five ways chili

2 | tablespoons | Onion; minced |
3 | tablespoons | Garlic; minced |
2 | cups | Tomato sauce |
½ | tablespoon | Cumin;ground |
½ | tablespoon | Chili powder |
1 | Bay leaf | |
1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
2 | tablespoons | Cocoa powder; unsweetened |
2 | tablespoons | Worcestershire sauce |
½ | tablespoon | Oregano;dried |
1 | teaspoon | Vinegar; white |
1 | can | Kidney beans; 19 oz;drained |
Cooked spaghetti;or other pasta | ||
Onions;yellow, minced | ||
Butter | ||
Cheddar;grated |
Directions
Brown ground meat, onions and garlic. Drain fat. Add spices, tomato sauce, cocoa powder and vinegar. Simmer on low heat, 1 to ½ hours, stirring occasionally.
Cook spaghetti, drain and toss with 1 Tbsp butter. Fry onions in butter. Reheat drained beans in water and drain.
