Happy Mother's Day! My husband made these bars last night. They are so good and unfortunately we have been eating them all day. He got the recipe from a magazine called "Quick Cooking". The recipe says it was sent in by Susie Wingert from Panama, Iowa.
In a large bowl, combine the first four ingredients; set aside. In a saucepan, bring corn syrup and sugar to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat; stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat evenly. Spread into a greased 15X10X1 baking pan. Cool.
Cut into bars. Yield: 15 bars
