Orange spritz cookies (bobbie beers)

Ingredients

2¼ | cup | Flour |
1 | tablespoon | Baking powder |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
¾ | cup | Butter |
½ | cup | Sugar |
1 | Egg | |
2 | teaspoons | Grated orange peel |
½ | teaspoon | Almond extract |
Directions
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, beat in egg, orange peel and almond extract. Add dry ingredients and beat until combined. Don not chill the dough.
Pack dough into cookie press. Force dough through press onto an ungreased baking sheet. If desired decorate with colored sugar or candies. Bake at 400~ for 6-8 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
