Orange-almond biscotti

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups All-purpose flour; unbleached
1 teaspoon Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
1 cup Sugar
2 larges Eggs
½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon Almond extract
¾ cup Whole almonds with skin; toasted and coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons Minced zest from 1 orange

Directions

1. Sift first 3 ingredients together in a small bowl.

2. Beat butter and sugar together in bowl of electric mixer until light and smooth; add eggs one at a time; then extracts. Stir in almonds and zest.

Sift dry ingredients over egg mixture, then fold in until dough is just mixed.
