Panettone sexy toffee pudding

4 ounces Butter
4 tablespoons Golden syrup
4 ounces Soft brown sugar
½ pint Milk mixed with 1/2 pint cream
6 slices Panettone; (Italian cake) cut
; into strips
Crunchy toffee ice cream or clotted cream
2 Sliced bananas

Directions

Preheat the oven to 215C.

Melt the butter, golden syrup and brown sugar in a small pan and stir. Add the bananas and soften very slightly.

Slice the panettone and dip into the cream and milk. Put a layer into an ovenproof dish and top with a large spoon of the banana mixture. Repeat the process for a second layer, then pour the remaining cream and milk over the top.

Bake for 20 minutes and serve with the ice cream or clotted cream.
