Pasta cannelini

2 | cups | Uncooked pasta nuggets (radiatore) |
2 | teaspoons | Olive oil or oil |
1 | cup | Thinly sliced onions |
1 | clove | Garlic, minced |
28 | ounces | Can whole tomatoes, cut up undrained |
15 | ounces | Can chick peas, rinsed |
1 | teaspoon | Dried oregano leaves |
Directions
Cook pasta to desired doneness; drain and keep warm. heat oil in large nonstick skillet until hot. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir about 6 minutes or until onion is tender. Add tomatoes, beans and oregano; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5-10 minutes to blend flavors. Serve over pasta. If desired, sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese.
