Pear and ginger crisp

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cans (16-oz. each) sliced pears or pear halves, in heavy syrup, drained
1 tablespoon Minced. crystallized ginger
cup Rolled oats
cup Packed light brown sugar
¼ cup All-purpose flour
½ teaspoon Ground ginger
¼ cup Butter; cut into small pieces

Directions

TOPPING

Heat oven to 400. Arrange pears in a shallow 1½-quart baking dish; sprinkle with crystallized ginger. Combine, oats, brown sugar, flour and ground ginger in food processor bowl. With motor running, gradually add butter and process until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle topping mixture evenly over pears. Bake in center of oven until topping is lightly browned and crisp, 20 to 25 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Serves 6.
