Plain fried rice

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons Onion, chopped
1 tablespoon Garlic, chopped
5 cups Cooked long-grain rice
1 tablespoon Cilantro leaves, chopped
1 cup Cucumber, sliced
2 tablespoons Red & green chilies, chopped
1 cup Tofu, diced
3 tablespoons Soy sauce
½ teaspoon White pepper
3 eaches Green onions, chopped
1 each Lime, cut into wedges

Directions

GARNISH

Heat the oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the onion & stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add the garlic & stir-fry until both are golden. Add the rice & the tofu & stir-fry for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with soy sauce & white pepper. Remove from heat & place in a serving dish surrounded with garnishes. Adapted from Puangkram C. Schmitz & Michael J. Worman, "Practical Thai Cooking"
