Potato soup with bacon and browned bread cubes

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
6 Bacon strips -- diced
4 larges Potatoes -- peeled and
Diced
2 cups Bread cubes
1 large Onion -- peeled and diced
¾ cup Heavy cream
6 cups Water
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Cook potatoes and onion in water until tender. Fry bacon until crisp.

Remove bacon pieces and brown bread cubes in fat until golden. Add cream to soup and season with salt and pepper to taste. Put some bread cubes and bits of crisp bacon into each soup bowl and fill bowls with hot soup. Serve immediately.
