Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 Pie crust (9 inch); bake and cool
2 Eggs
2 Egg yolks
cup Half and half
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Nutmeg; ground
White pepper
can Swiss cheese; or Gruyere Cheese, grated
12 slices Bacon; cooked and crumbled

Directions

Combine eggs and yolks, half and half, and seasonings in bowl, mix, Stir in cheese. Sprinkle bacon in shell, gently add custard mixture. Bake at 375° for 25 min or till custard puffs. Serve hot.

Suggested Wine: chablis
