1 | medium | Onion, minced |
2 | teaspoons | Grated fresh ginger root |
3 | Garlic cloves, minced | |
6 | Whole cloves | |
¼ | teaspoon | Cayenne pepper |
1½ | pounds | Fresh spinach, washe removed, and choppe |
4 | tablespoons | Plain whole-milk yog |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |

Directions
Heat the oil in a large suacepan. Add the onion, and fry for 3 minute Add the ginger root and garlic, and continue to cook, stirring, for 2 mintues more. Add the cloves and cayenne and mix well. Stir in the spinach. Add the yogurt, one tablespoon at a time, blending well befo adding the next one. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 2 minute Sprinkle with salt and pepper, mix, and serve.
