Spicy poori

2½ | cup | Whole wheat flour |
½ | cup | All-purpose white flour |
¼ | cup | Chickpea flour; (gram flour optional) |
2 | teaspoons | Vegetable oil; heated |
2 | teaspoons | Cumin seeds |
2 | tablespoons | Red chili powder; (to taste) |
2 | tablespoons | Salt |
4 | tablespoons | Sesame seeds |
1 | pinch | Sugar |
1 | teaspoon | Tumeric |
1½ | cup | Water |
Vegetable oil for deep-fat frying |
Directions
Spicy poories are a delicious addition to a picnic and are good to have on hand for snacks.
Mix all the ingredients and form them into a dough. Roll and cook as for plain poories.
