State fair's best cherry-apple bread

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Water; lukewarm, 80 deg F
½ teaspoon Almond extract
½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
cup Bread flour
2 tablespoons Dry milk
tablespoon Sugar
teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Orange rind; grated
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine; cut in 4 pcs
2 teaspoons Active dry yeast; OR 1 1/2 tsp Rapid Rise yeast
½ cup Cherries; to 1/3 C,
Montmorency, slightly chop OR dehydrated cherries
cup Apples; dehydrated, slightly chopped

Directions

This recipe was the first-place winner in the Fleischmann's Yeast bread machine competition at the Minnesota State Fair held last week. It was created by Renee Janaas-Johnson of Brooklyn Center, MN, who used a West Bend ABM. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds great. Hope you enjoy it.
