Virginia butter beans

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 Boxes frozen lima or butter beans
6 slices Bacon
½ cup Minced onion
¼ cup Minced bell pepper
2 Garlic cloves; minced or garlic
Salt
2 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Flour
1 cup Canned tomatoes; (juice and all)
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Fry bacon. Remove and cook vegetables until tender. Add flour, sugar, salt, pepper and tomatoes. Add cooked and drained beans and pour in casserole.

Place bacon on top and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. You can also use a package of dried butter beans.
