Apple macadamia bake

Ingredients

¼ | cup | All-purpose flour |
¼ | cup | Sugar |
¼ | cup | Firmly packed brown sugar |
3 | tablespoons | Coarsely chopped macadamias; walnuts, or pecans |
⅛ | teaspoon | Ground cinnamon |
2½ | tablespoon | Butter or margarine; cut into small pieces |
7 | cups | Peeled & thinly sliced cooking apple |
2 | tablespoons | Apricot preserves |
Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Place thinly sliced apple in a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish; drop apricot preserves by teaspoonfuls onto apple slices, and sprinkle evenly with flour mixture. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes or until golden.
Makes 6 servings. Kitchen Express: Substitute 2 (12-ounce) packages frozen scalloped apples, thawed, for fresh apples.
Notes: Select tart, green-skinned Granny Smiths for cakes and pies.
