Apple streusel cake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1⅓ cup All purpose flour
1 cup Whole wheat flour
cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
½ cup Oil
¼ cup Honey
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 Eggs
5 cups Apples, coarsely diced
½ cup Chopped nuts, optional
THE STREUSEL:
2 tablespoons Flour
2 tablespoons Butter, softened
5 tablespoons Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions

Pre-heat the oven to 350øF. Grease and flour a 13x9-inch pan.

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except nuts,apples and the streusel ingredients and mix, at low speed using an electric mixer, until moistened; beat 2 minutes at medium speed.

Stir in the nuts and apples by hand. Spread the batter in the prepared pan. In a small bowl mix the streusel ingredients to form a crumb mixture and top the batter with it. Bake at 350 deg F for 40 to 50 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Serve warm or cool with whipped cream or ice cream.
