Asparagus salad mold

Ingredients

¾ | cup | Sugar |
½ | cup | Vinegar |
1 | cup | Water |
½ | cup | Cold water |
2 | Envelopes of plain gelatin | |
1 | cup | Chopped celery |
2 | tablespoons | Lemon juice |
1 | tablespoon | Minced onion |
4 | ounces | Jar of pimentos, chopped |
1 | can | Whole green asparagus |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
5 | ounces | Can of water chestnuts |
Directions
Combine sugar, vinegar, 1 cup of water and salt. Bring to a boil to dissolve sugar. Dissolve gelatin in ½ cup of cold water. Remove boiling mixture; add gelatin, onion and cool. Drain asparagus and cut into bite size pieces. Drain water chestnuts and slice thin.
