1 | cup | Old-fashioned rolled oats |
3 | cups | Boiling water |
¼ | cup | Honey |
1 | pint | Scotch whisky |
Directions
1. In large bowl, combine rolled oats and boiling water. Stir with a spoon breaking up oats as much as possible. Set aside ½ hour.
2. Strain oat mixture into a 1-quart pitcher, pressing to get 2 C liquid. you do not get enough liquid, pour more boiling water through oats in strainer until liquid measures 2 C. Discard oats; add honey and whisky to the oat liquid; stir until well combined. Serve immedi- ately; shake or stir before pouring into each mug.
