1 | teaspoon | Cream of tartar |
⅝ | cup | Very roughly chopped |

Directions
Beat the egg whites ntil they form peaks. Gradually beat in the sugar and cream of tartar until the whites are very stiff. Stir in the nuts by hand. Drop the batter on a greased cookie sheet in teardrop shapes, using two teaspoons ( for shaping ); each co bake them about ½ hour. checking occasionally, until the cookies are hard but still white.
