Baked lasagne (traditional)

8 | ounces | Lasagna noodles |
1 | pounds | Ground beef, Italian sausage or Pork sausage |
¼ | cup | Onion, finely chopped |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | teaspoon | Garlic salt |
32 | ounces | Spaghetti sauce |
15 | ounces | Ricotta dry curd or drained cottage cheese |
¾ | pounds | Mozzarella cheese, cubed or shredded |
¼ | cup | Romano cheese |
Directions
Cook lasagne according to package direction. In large skillet, saute meat, onion, salt and garlic salt; drain off excess fat. Add spaghetti sauce. Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer 15-20 minutes. In greased 9 X 13 inch baking pan, layer 3 strips of lasagne, lengthwise, spread on ⅓ meat sauce, ⅓ dry curd (or cottage cheese), and ⅓ Mozzarella. Repeat layering process twice, sprinkle Romano cheese on top. Bake 350 degree F oven for 35-40 minutes. Let set 10 minutes before cutting. Submitted By ED FAUSS On 02-05-95
