Baked lasagne (traditional)

Ingredients

8 ounces Lasagna noodles
1 pounds Ground beef, Italian sausage or Pork sausage
¼ cup Onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Garlic salt
32 ounces Spaghetti sauce
15 ounces Ricotta dry curd or drained cottage cheese
¾ pounds Mozzarella cheese, cubed or shredded
¼ cup Romano cheese

Directions

Cook lasagne according to package direction. In large skillet, saute meat, onion, salt and garlic salt; drain off excess fat. Add spaghetti sauce. Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer 15-20 minutes. In greased 9 X 13 inch baking pan, layer 3 strips of lasagne, lengthwise, spread on ⅓ meat sauce, ⅓ dry curd (or cottage cheese), and ⅓ Mozzarella. Repeat layering process twice, sprinkle Romano cheese on top. Bake 350 degree F oven for 35-40 minutes. Let set 10 minutes before cutting. Submitted By ED FAUSS On 02-05-95
