Blue ribbon apple bread

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 cups Butter Or Margarine
cup Sugar
4 Eggs
cup Canned Apple Sauce
¼ cup Milk
4 cups Flour; sifted
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
2 teaspoons Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Grated Lemon Rind; 1\" thick
1 cup Chopped Nuts Pecan
½ cup Chopped Raisins
½ cup Chopped Dates

Directions

Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a tme. Stir in apple sauce and milk. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to apple sauce mixture and mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into 2 greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until bread tests done. Cool on rack for 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan and cool.
