2 | Onions, sliced | |
2 | Carrots | |
1 | Head celery | |
2 | tablespoons | Drippings |
1½ | tablespoon | Flour |
1½ | pint | Water or stock |
Salt and pepper |
Directions
Cut meat into small pieces. Melt drippings in fry pan and brown meat on all sides. remove meat, put in flour and brown that also. Add stock or water and stir til boiling. Put in meat and prepared vegetables. Season to taste and cook very slowly for two hours. Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos and all.
