Calamari with hot bean sauce

Ingredients

900 grams Calamari (squid)
1 tablespoon Oil
1 Clove garlic;minced
1 teaspoon Minced ginger
½ cup Each green and red pepper; sliced
1 tablespoon Hot bean paste
2 tablespoons Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Rice wine
1 Green onion;chopped
Salt to taste

Date: Tue, 30 Jul 1996 23:34:40 +0700 1. Cleaning calamari.Cut poen body of calamari,clean.Cut off tentacles and reserve.Remove purple membrane,rinse body and tentacles,drain well.

2. Score the calamari.Cut calamari into 2"(5 cm) pieces.

3. Bring a pot of water to a boil,drop in calamari, stir and remove.Drain throughly and set aside.

4. Heat wok, add oil and stir fry garlic and ginger.Add peppers and remaining ingredients.Return calamari to wok and combine. Be careful not to overcook calamari. Makes 4-6 servings.
