8 | slices | Cheddar cheese |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | teaspoon | Mustard powder |
3 | cups | Milk |
1 | dash | Hot pepper sauce |

8 | slices | Ham or back bacon |
6 | Eggs | |
½ | teaspoon | Pepper |
¼ | cup | Green pepper, minced |
2 | teaspoons | Worcestershire sauce |
½ | cup | Butter |
¼ | cup | Onion, minced |
Directions
Cut crusts of bread and lay 8 slices in a greased 9 X 13 pan. Add enough pieces of bread to cover bottom completely. Cover bread with thinly sliced ham or back bacon. Lay cheese on top of ham or bacon.
Cover with 8 slices of trimmed bread remaining, plus as much extra needed to cover completely. In a bowl, beat eggs, salt and pepper.
To egg mixture, add dry mustard, onion, peppers, worcestershire sauce, milk and hot sauce. pour over bread in pan. Cover and let stand overnight in frig. In morning, melt butter and pour over mixture in pan. Cover with crushed cereal. Bake uncovered 1 hour.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve with cut up fruit or hot cinnamon rolls. Make the day before and pop it in the oven in the morning.
