Cranberry orange cheesecake bars

Ingredients

1 15-oz. pkg sugar cookie mix
1 tablespoon Water
1 pack Cran*Fruit cranberry orange sauce; * see note
2 3-oz. pkgs cream cheese; softened
¼ cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract

Directions

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F.

In medium bowl, combine cookie mix (with shortening pouch if included) and water; stir to form coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup for topping; press remaining mixture evenly into a lightly greased 9"-square pan. Bake 12 - 15 minutes until lightly browned. Cool slightly. Drain Cran*Fruit and spread evenly over crust. In a small bowl, mix together remaining ingredients; beat until creamy and pour evenly over cranberry layer.

Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture; return to oven and bake 30 minutes.

Cool completely, cut into squares, refrigerate, and serve cold.

YIELD: 16 squares
