½ cup Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Pepper
1 Eye of round roast; (2 to 3 lb)
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
1 teaspoon Minced garlic
1 can Beef broth
12 ounces Dark beer

Directions

Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge roast in flour mixture. Heat oil in Dutch oven. Brown roast in hot oil, searing all sides. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer until tender, about 1½ hours.
