Falafel chick pea patties

Ingredients

1 pounds Can chick-peas drained
1 large Onion chopped
Parsley
1 large Egg
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Dried hot red peppers
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Ground coriander or cumin
½ To 1 cup bread crumbs or
Fine burghul (crushed
Wheat)
Vegetable oil

Directions

Mix chick peas and the onion, add the parsley, lightly beaten egg and spices. Whirl in a blender. Add bread crumbs until the mixture will form a small ball without sticking to your hands. Form the chick pea mixture into small balls about the size of a qua Drain the falafel on paper towels. Serve individually with toothpicks or as a sandwich flling with chopped tomato, cucumber, radish, lettuce, onion and /or tahina inside pita.
