Fancy tea cookies

Ingredients

½ | cup | Butter |
½ | cup | Shortening |
3 | tablespoons | Sugar |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
2 | cups | Flour |
1 | cup | Coconut |
Directions
Combine butter, shortening and sugar, creaming until light and fluffy; add vanilla. Work in flour and coconut gradually until well blended. Form 2 rolls; chill in refrigerator overnight. Heat oven to 275 F. Slice dough ¼-inch thick. Slices may be cut in fancy shapes.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
