Fried rice 4

1 Servings

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons Cooking oil
1 Egg, beaten
½ medium Onion, chopped into 1/4 inch pieces
1 Clove garlic mashed and minced
2 cups Cooked rice (any kind)
3 tablespoons Soy sauce

Directions

Hey folks. You can make fried rice with any kind of rice. Without it sticking together.

This isn't so much a specific recipe as a "kinda" one. Vary proportions to suit yourself. These quantities will work to give you ungummy rice.

Heat ½ of the oil over medium heat and cook the egg into a flat sheet removing from the pan when just set. Cut into matchsticks. Heat the rest of the oil and add onion and cook for maybe 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 3 more. Add rice and toss to mix with onion and garlic. Add more oil if needed to keep rice from sticking. Add soy stirring to mix well and distribute evenly. When rice is hot, return egg to pan mixing in. Turn out onto platter or bowl.

You can add slivers of cooked meats. Seafood. More and different vegetables. More egg. Leftovers.
