Frosted date balls

Ingredients

1¼ | cup | Flour, all-purpose |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | cup | Butter (or marg.); softened |
⅓ | cup | Sugar, powdered; sifted |
1 | tablespoon | Milk |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
⅔ | cup | Dates; chopped |
½ | cup | Nuts; chopped |

Directions
Combine flour and salt. Cream butter until smooth; add ⅓ cup powdered sugar gradually, beating well. Add milk and vanilla, and stir in flour mixture. Add dates and nuts; mix well.
Roll into 1-inch balls and place about 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 300 degrees about 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Roll date balls in powdered sugar while warm.
