Date nut balls

Ingredients

1 pack (8-oz) dates; whole, not chopped
1 Stick margarine
1 cup Chopped walnuts
¾ cup Sugar
2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla (up to)
2 packs \"Bakers\" Angel Flake coconut

From: Diane Dowiot <dowiot19@...> Date: Sat, 29 Jun 1996 23:30:09 -0700 Melt down until smooth everything but walnuts and Rice Krispies. Put on low then take off heat. Add walnuts first and mix, then add Rice Krispies. Mix all together - wait until cool. Rolls into balls (about 1 inch across).
