2 | tablespoons | Sugar |
1½ | tablespoon | Fat |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | teaspoon | Yeast |
2 | tablespoons | Warm water |
1 | small | Egg, beaten |
1¾ | cup | Flour |
Melted butter | ||
Streusel crumbs |
Directions
Scald milk; pour over sugar, fat and salt in a bowl, cool. Soften yeast in warm water, add the egg and mix. Add to milk mixture. Add almost half the flour and beat well. Mix in rest of flour. Roll out ½" thick and place in a well greased pan. Let rise until double.
Prick top with fork; brush with melted butter. Put streusel crumbs on top. Let rise for half an hour; bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
