1 | tablespoon | Sugar |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
⅔ | cup | Flour |
⅔ | cup | Milk |
3 | tablespoons | Butter (not melted) |
Directions
I think this is what you're looking for...my mom used to make these a lot.
we also served with fresh fruit, or butter and syrup or sliced smoked sausage and syrup (yum my favorite). however we use 8in cake pans (round) so if your cast iron skillet is larger then 8in you need to make a batch and a half or something like that (i do know that the recipe doesn't puff right if i use my 9in pans )
Preheat oven to 400, thoroughly butter your pans (spray will ruin the flavor in my opinion)
In blender combine 4 eggs, 1 tbsp sugar, ½ tsp salt, ⅔ cup flour, ⅔ cup milk, 3 Tbsp butter (not melted).
Blend until thoroughly combined and distribute evenly between the 2 pans.
cook 20 minutes, turn oven back to 350 and cook ten minutes.
A very easy (but looks impressive) dish that can be a main course or dessert or brunch.
