Ginger nut biscuits

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 ounces Butter
2 tablespoons Golden syrup
4 ounces Self-raising flour
1 teaspoon Ground ginger
Good pinch ground cinnamon
Good pinch bicarbonate of soda
2 teaspoons Sugar
Blanched almonds; (halved)

Directions

Melt butter and syrup and add to dry ingredients. Form into small balls and place on well greased baking trays, not too close together. Flatten slightly and place halved blanched almond on each. Bake 350 F. 15 minutes.
