Hearty burgundy spaghetti sauce

Ingredients

19 ounces Chunky Stewed Tomatoes
ounce Tomato paste
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
2 Onions chopped
4 Crushed garlic cloves or
2 Minced garlic
14 ounces Can Tomato sauce
½ cup Red wine or white (optional)
1 Sweet green pepper
1 teaspoon Dried leaf basil
½ teaspoon Leaf oregano

Directions

Heat oil in a large saucpan set over medium heat. Add Chunky pasta-style stewed Tomatoes with Tomatoe Paste and red or white wine to the sauce pan. Add onions and garlic.

Saute for 2 min. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring often. Then, reduce heat and simmer, stirring often for at least 5 min. Add a pinch of sugar if needed.
