Hearty oat and cornbread

Ingredients

1 cup Oats -- quick or old
Fashion
1 cup Cornmeal
½ cup Flour, All-Purpose
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
¼ teaspoon Salt -- optional
1 cup Nonfat Milk
½ cup Corn Kernels
2 tablespoons Applesauce
2 Egg Beaters. 99% Egg
Substitute -- or substitute
2 tablespoons Onion -- finely chopped

Directions

Heat oven to 425 deg F. Spray an 8 or 9" square baking pan with nonstick spray.

In a med. bowl, combine dry ingredients.

Add remaining ingredients that have been combined in a small bowl; mix well.

Spread evenly into prepared pan.

Bake 20 - 25 min or until edges are lightly browned. Serve warm.
