Hot and sour soup (la suan tang)

2 Eggs

1 t Salt

2 T Soy sauce

½ t 5-Spice powder

1 T Cornstarch in 1 cup water

2 pt Stock

3 T Vinegar

White pepper

Beat the eggs. Mix together the salt, soy sauce, 5-spice and cornstarch mixture. Put the stock on to boil and stir in the salt and cornstarch mixture. As the soup comes to a boil pour in the eggs.

Add the vinegar and white pepper.
