6 Egg yolks
cup Sugar
½ cup Cake flour -- sifted
teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Vanilla
6 Egg whites -- stiffly
Beaten

Directions

Beat the egg yolks; gradually add the sugar, beating until thick and light in color. Sift flour, salt and baking powder into egg-yolk mixture and fold in. Stir in the vanilla and fold in the egg whites.

Turn into two 8-inch layer-cake pans that have been greased and dusted with flour. Bake in a 350 degree oven 20 minutes, or until browned and free from sides of
